Steps at Work site:

• Pick up Stump Grinder from Grand Rental, reserved under ‘Lawn to Yard'
• Try to have it back within 4 hrs

Steps at Work site:

• Redo bed on north side of building, refer to photo
• Lay out the plastic sheet so you have a place to move the mulch to
• Shovel any usable mulch onto the sheet
• Weed anything growing along the sidewalk, foundation, or in the hostas
• Put down new weed blocker in the bed, around the hostas
• Shovel mulch back onto the weed blocker, add new mulch as needed to make it look nice

Remove Stump with Grinder

Prep steps:

• Pick up grinder from Grand Rental

Steps at Work site:

• Find stump, review safety/operational material for stump grinder
• Position the stump grinder's cutting disc over the edge of the stump. Be sure to keep your body and any other objects away from the grinding disc. Engage the rotating disc and slowly lower the disc onto the wood. Gently swing the disc back and forth as it grinds out wood chips from the stump. Once you've dug 3 to 4 inches into a section of the stump, lift the disc and slightly move the machine forward to grind another section of the stump. Continue grinding and repositioning the disc until you've created a hole about 4 inches below ground level.
• Rake up all the wood chips around the stump and put into trash bags (we’ll re-use this as the shop). Fill the hole you've created with topsoil. Lightly tamp the soil down with your shovel. Add grass seed into the topsoil and rake it to evenly spread it.

Clean out brush/ Poison ivy

• Strip out the ivy and weeds building up in these areas (circled in photo)
• Use the pruning shears and shovel for difficult plants
• Put compostable material into a trash bag and bring back to the shop (dispose of any poison ivy separately)
