Prep steps:
- Fill 7 bags with our natural wood mulch
- Load soil & wood to fill gardens
- Secure the Kubota
- Place cedar garden frame on the trailer alongside the Kubota and use ratchet strap to secure it
- Load other tools & materials on the truck
Steps at Work site:
- Place the Garden bed where indicated by customer or photos, check to make sure it is level and square with any nearby structures
- Fill raised garden bed with soil, rake it flat. Leave about 1 to 2 inches of space at the top, do not fill completely to the lip of the wood
- Place a layer of paper over the top of the soil (gardens are 4ft wide and paper is 3ft wide, so you’ll need to put down 2 lengths that overlap in the middle)
- The paper will lay flatter and make it easier for you to spread an even layer of mulch if you cut slits around the six 4”x4” posts so the paper can lay flat/butt up against them
- Layer mulch over the paper so that it covers it completely, this should take exactly 5 cuft or 2 ½ bags of the natural wood mulch, if it took less than that, you didn’t use enough mulch. Make sure the mulch layer fills the bed right up to the edges and corners, as this is where weeds will try to sprout first
